Passcode - How do I add a Passcode Lock to protect my information if I lose, misplace my iPad?

To set a passcode,
  1. Tap Settings
  2. Tap General
  3. Tap Passcode Lock and enter a four digit passcode twice 
The iPhone will then require you to enter the passcode to unlock it.

To turn passcode lock off,
  1. Tap Settings
  2. Tap General
  3. Tap Passcode Lock and tap Turn Passcode Off, then enter your Passcode.

To change the passcode,
  1. Tap Settings
  2. Tap General
  3. Tap Passcode Lock and tap Change Passcode, enter the current Passcode, then enter and re-enter your new Passcode.

If you forget your passcode, you must restore the iPad software.

To set how long before your passcode is required,
  1. Tap Settings
  2. Tap General
  3. Tap Passcode Lock
  4. Tap Require Passcode, then select how long the iPad will be idle before you need to enter a Passcode to unlock it.
