Airplane Mode - How do I switch airplane mode on/off and what is it?

Airplane mode enables you to switch off the phone part of the mobile. 

When in Airplane mode you can not connect to cellular data services, but you can continue using other parts of the device like the music player etc.

To switch on/off
  1. Tap Settings
  2. Slide the OFF/ON button
Please Note: Switching on Airplane mode automatically switches off any Wi-Fi connection that you may have.
To switch the Wi-fi back on,
  1. Tap Settings
  2. Tap Wi-Fi
  3. Slide the Wifi OFF/ON button to ON
  4. Tap your required connection

APNs - How do I change my APN settings?

For users on an iPad tariff:
  1. To manage your APN settings, tap Settings > Cellular Data > APN settings .
  2. Enter the following information in the three fields below:
  3. Tap APN. Delete ibrowse.o2.co.uk and type in idata.o2.co.uk
  4. Tap Username. Delete browse and type in vertigo
  5. Tap Password. Delete the text in the field and type in password
  6. Make sure you always use the letter ‘o’ for ‘o2’.
Once the settings above have been made, you will be able to get online.
Last step, you will need to reset your Wi-Fi access if you have previously registered another SIM within the device. You can do this at www.o2.co.uk/wifireset.
For users on a Mobile Broadband tariff using iPad
  1. To manage your APN settings, tap Settings > Cellular Data > APN settings.
  2. Enter the following information in the three fields below.
  3. Tap APNdelete ibrowse.co.uk and type in mobile.o2.co.uk
  4. Tap Username, delete browser and type in o2web.
  5. Tap Password, delete the text in the field and type in password.

Calendar - How do I set a calendar reminder on my iPad?

To set a reminder,
  1. Tap Calendar
  2. Tap the date you want the reminder for
  3. Tap the + (plus sign) icon
  4. On the Add Event screen, tap the Title / Location box
  5. Enter a Title and Location for your reminder and tap Save 
  6. Tap the Starts / Ends box
  7. Select your Starts & Ends time and tap Save (if this is a All-day reminder then slide the All-day slide to ON)
  8. Tap Save
  9. Tap Repeat if you wish to repeat your reminder, tap the frequency you require then tap Save.
  10. Tap Alert if you wish to be alerted at a set time before your reminder, tap the time you require then tap Save.
  11. Tap Second Alert if you wish to be alerted for a second time, tap the time you require then tap Save.
  12. Tap Notes, add any notes you require then tap Save
  13. Tap Done.

Internet Connection - How do I connect to the Internet?

The iPad Wi-Fi + 3G connects to the Internet automatically whenever you use Mail, Safari, YouTube, the App Store, or the iTunes Store. The iPad Wi-Fi + 3G connects to the Internet using a Wi-Fi network when available and through O2’s mobile network the rest of the time.
 
Insert your O2 Micro-SIM into your iPad and make sure you sync your iPad with iTunes and accept the update to the latest software. You can then sign up, monitor, and manage your O2 Mobile Broadband Pay & Go service, all from your iPad. You can also choose to have payment taken automatically every 30 days.
 
If you chose not to accept the update you will need to select Summary > Check for updates in iTunes to get the update.
 
iPad will then download the O2 settings and you will be able to register your account. Tap Settings > Cellular data > View Account to register your details. After registering for the first time you may need to restart the iPad before you can use your O2 data allowance.

Data Allowance - I've purchased 500Mb of data but my allowance shows that I've been given 512Mb?

When you purchase the 500Mb package we actually give you half a Gb.
As there are 1024Mb in a Gb this equals 512Mb so don’t worry we won’t ask for the extra 12Mb back.
